Introduction to Playwriting
Leading students, often new to playwriting, in playwriting techniques from ancient Greece to modern-day. Students read a variety of
plays and do in-class writing exercises that relate to the readings as they construct their own plays. Class experience ranges from
beginners to the seasoned professional.
Play Script Analysis
An in-depth look at the action structures of plays and how they were inflected by world events and how they also influenced world events,
from Ibsen to present day. Special focus on beats and what that means to the language of actors who will be interpreting scripts.

NYC HEARING EDUCATION ITINERANT TEACHER
Teaching Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students, K - HS, all levels of Special and General supplementary support for all academics, and
cognition skills. Education of all students in mitigating their hearing losses in the classroom, staff development for teachers and
faculty working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, data collection, writing and tracking IEPs (Individual Educational Plans)

STAFF DEVELOPMENT
Instructing teachers with master’s degrees on playwrighting techniques and how to utilize them in their classrooms and lectures.
Curriculum also covers the origins of dramatic writing from ancient times to the present and their correlations to world events.
